Our November Specialty Contractor in the spotlight is The Wakefield Corporation: Four Decades of Integrity, Service, and Excellence.  Founded in 1986 by Jim Wakefield, The Wakefield Corporation has spent the past 40 years building a legacy grounded in the core values of integrity, service, excellence, and quality. What began as a small drywall and metal stud framing company has grown into one of East Tennessee’s premier subcontractors, with expanded expertise in acoustical ceilings and exterior insulated finishing systems (EIFS).  In 2018, The Wakefield Corporation proudly became a woman-owned business when Erin Wakefield assumed the role of CEO, continuing her father’s vision while ushering in a new era of growth, innovation, and leadership. Today, the company celebrates being a third-generation family business, with Erin’s oldest son now contributing as an estimator and project manager—a testament to the enduring strength of family values and commitment to excellence. With decades of combined experience in project management, estimating, and construction supervision, Wakefield’s team is known for precision craftsmanship, safety, and client-focused service. Their portfolio spans healthcare, education, and industrial facilities, as well as hospitality, multifamily, and restaurant projects across East Tennessee.  Now in its 40th year, The Wakefield Corporation continues to lead the way in safety, technology, and innovative materials, staying true to its roots while building for the future. It’s a story of resilience, family, and dedication—a legacy built to last.  Let Wakefield help on your next project!
