AGC of Tennessee would not be the organization it is without our amazing members.  Through member support and participation, AGC of Tennessee continues to build a brighter future for contractors and their partners in Tennessee.  Each month we will be spotlighting members who eximplify what it means to be an AGC member.  We hope you will check back and learn more about our spotlight companies each month.


Meet our September Spotlight Members

 
 
 

Our September General Contractor in the spotlight is R.C. Mathews Contractor.  Since 1941, R.C. Mathews has built a reputation on quality and integrity in serving their clients. They believe the successful completion of every project and the satisfaction of every client are the key ingredients for maintaining this reputation and see every new project as a partnership. They measure their success by building those relationships into future projects and their long list of repeat clients is a testimony to their exceptional work.  R.C. Mathews also gives it their all when it comes to their membership in AGC.  In 2022, they were the Pop Tab Champions at the BBQ in Red Shoes. Their submission weighed in at an impressive 152.8 pounds! Ronald McDonald House of Nashville works with a local recycler to turn donated tabs into money for families of seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment at Nashville area hospitals. R.C. Mathews set up 5-gallon bins on each of their jobsites throughout the year to collect tabs for this worthwhile cause. R.C. Mathews is a great example of an outstanding member!

  
Xylem, Inc. is our September Specialty Contractor in the spotlight.  Xylem is a water technology provider focused on helping customers solve the world’s toughest water challenges through innovative products, services, and solutions based on technology and expertise. Their goal is to make water more accessible and affordable and communities more resilient. The tagline for the Xylem’s logo is “Let’s Solve Water,” and that is what they strive to do.  Xylem is a member who can always be counted on to support events and activities sponsored by the association, especially our West Tennessee Region’s annual Sporting Clays Tournament.  Xylem, Inc. has been the main sponsor for this event for many years, and it is a pleasure to see the high level of support the company gives. Although Xylem is a global company, Sales Representative Michael Gates brings the support down to a local level, and his enthusiasm about the venue and planning helps make the event bigger and better every year.  We truly appreciate Xylem, Inc.!
