Please take a minute to view this video... Tennessee Builds Safety:

Tri-Cities AGC’s answer is this: We are older, bigger and better than our competition. We provide a better product.

...And Here’s Why:

COMMITMENT /  We are committed to our members.  If our members want something, we provide it.  We work for YOU.

LEGISLATION / We have a full-time lobbyist in Nashville, providing real influence in our area and our state as a whole.

RESOURCES / Having resources is crucial to our members and to the industry we represent. It means that when our board of directors sets policy we have the resources to implement it. And we do this without fund-raising. Our members pay their dues and receive their services.

PROTECTION / Like your business, we are protective of our reputation. So, we do not solicit every contractor for membership. The AGC motto of Skill, Responsibility and Integrity means everything to us.

AGC has a powerful voice in state and national politics, stopping or amending legislation that could adversely affect the industry.

TRAINING / AGC certifies craft training programs statewide, and offers training for field supervisory personnel and management and partnering training for office personnel. AGC offers a wide variety of publications and communication tools available from our interactive website.

WORKERS’ COMP INSURANCE / As AGC of Tennessee’s preferred provider of Workers’ Compensation insurance, Amerisure developed SureCon to provide AGC members with the exclusive service they expect. Now with coverage available in every state, SureCon offers monthly payroll reporting and provides a group dividend, based on group performance.

PLAN ROOM /  Tri-Cities AGC has an online and physical Plan Room that offers plans and specs for publicly bid projects on-line for our members. GCs can also have their private projects posted in the Plan Room by sending them to the Executive Director. We house projects that are in our area, as well as our surrounding areas in Southwest Virginia and Western North Carolina.  We also offer printing services at a cost lower than market rates.  These services save our members the cost and hassle of reproduction and distribution.

NETWORKING / A major strength of Tri-Cities AGC is the networking among our diverse membership. Our 150+ members range from one-man operations to companies who do work all over the country.  These include commercial, highway, heavy, municipal, utility and specialty firms who work together in the construction community. Finding it easier for people to do business with people they know, AGC offers our members many opportunities to get to know each other through social, service and business events.

AFFORDABILITY / Tri-Cities AGC is cost-effective and efficient. We at AGC realize your dues and time are an investment in the construction industry. We are diligent in our efforts to provide an outstanding return on that investment.
